Anthracnose: Caused by Gleosporium ampelophagum, Sphaceloma ampelina

Symptoms

       The disease occurs during rainy season, mostly during July and Nov.

     Attacks fresh growth which develops dark brown sunken lesions with a black centre.

     Young shoots, leaves, tendrils and the young berries are affected.

     In case of severe damage, the shoot becomes crinkled and the leaf shows shot holes. The fruits show bird’s eye spot symptoms.

control measures

Spraying 0.1% Carbendazim, Methyl thiophanate, or Baycor or Quintol 0.2% regularly at 10 to 15 days intervals during June to November is suggested to check the disease.
