Spacing & Planting
Spacing varies with variety and method of training the vines. The commonly followed spacing are 7.2 m x 3.6 m (24' x 12') for Bangalore Blue, Anab-e-Shah and Dilkushi; and 3.0m x 2.0m (10' x 6') for seedless varieties.
PLANTING GRAPES
• Feb-March ideal time for planting
Drip system should be installed before planting with at least one dripper per plant initially
• Transplant rooted cuttings with at least 3-4 matured basal buds on shoots in pits opened on filled trenches
• Irrigate copiously immediately after planting
